Honda Records 3,833 Units Sales of WR-V in 1st Month of Launch

Japanese automaker Honda made its entry into the highly competitive subcompact SUV segment with its newly developed Honda WRV. According to the sales reports the company has sold over 3833 units of its newly launched subcompact crossover Honda WR-V. Honda launched the WR-V in India last month on the March 16th 2017. Honda sold these cars in just 15 days. The Honda WR-V is second most selling car after the Honda City. The impressive sales number achieved by the Honda WR-V has also helped increase Honda Cars India’s monthly numbers with cumulative sales of 19,095 units in March.

Honda WR-V comes in both optional petrol and diesel version. Both versions is available in 5 speed manual transmission. The petrol a 1.2 litre i-VTEC engine that produce 89bhp to maximum power and 110Nm of torque power and 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine generate 99bhp of power and 200Nm of torque power. The company claimed the petrol version gives 17.5 km/l and the diesel version gives 25.5km/l. New Honda WR-V comes with latest interior features such as 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with optional Wi-Fi for internet support, cruise control, engine start stop button and a multi functional steering wheel along with a segment first electric sunroof.

Honda says it is created under the concept of “Refresh for Urban India” which is built around three core concepts of Smart Compact Exterior, Pleasurable Interior and Urban Active Lifestyle with high ground clearance and seat height stance. It dimension 3999mm long, 1734mm in width, 1601mm in tallness has a wheelbase of 2555mm and ground leeway of 188mm.
