Tata Motors Reduce Passenger Vehicle Prices by Up to 8.2 Percent

Tata Motors today said it has cut prices of its commercial vehicles by up to 8.2% to pass on the GST benefit to customers. It is good news for Tata Motors lovers they want to purchase new model. Tata Motors Head of Commercial Vehicle Business unit Girish Wagh said in a statement, “We are offering a price reduction in commercial vehicles (cargo) in the range of 0.3 per cent to 4.21 per cent and in commercial vehicles (passenger transportation) in the range of 0.6 per cent to 8.2 per cent,”

President of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Mayank Pareek said in a statement,” “Following the rollout of GST, we have decided to pass on the entire benefit to our customers. We are offering a price reduction of up to 12 per cent ranging between Rs. 3,300 and Rs. 2,17,000, depending on the model and variant,”

The company is confident that post GST price reduction will enable the customers to bring down their cost of operations and in turn, boost demand, he added. Commenting on GST implementation, Wagh said the initiative will bring about significant gains to the country’s economy and advantages for the stakeholders, while enhancing the ease of doing business.

Mahindra and Mahindra announced reduction in prices of its utility vehicles and SUVs by up to 6.9 per cent on an average. Similarly, the company reduced prices of small commercial vehicles. While Bajaj Auto’s Austrian arm KTM dropped prices of its sports bikes in the country. Czech car maker Skoda reduced prices of Superb model range by up to 7.3 per cent in Mumbai, resulting into a price benefit of up to 2.4 lakh. The revision in the Octavia model range varies from 4.9 per cent and 7.4 per cent, resulting in a maximum benefit of Rs 1.75 lakh, the company said.
